Richmond Hill's rating of the film Female Human Animal

What at first appears to be a sly Trojan Horse around the deadening weight of contemporary art and identity politics declines into an amiable but thin play on motifs and modes - the very things it at first claims disenchantment from. I’ve only read The Hearing Trumpet but imagine the Carrington parallels are made with sincerity but are replicated too often - as are most things here. A decent small film lies therein.
