Our take

A profoundly haunting film, this Oscar® nominee moves beyond headline caricature to paint a remarkable portrait of life on a Mediterranean island and the efforts of the migrants that hope to reach it. Another ground-breaking work from Rosi as the first documentary to win the Golden Bear at Berlin!
