Ratings & Reviews

  1. Henk Lamers's rating of the film Forbidden Fruit

In the beginning, this film did not fascinate me. It was a little too soft and teenager-ish. Gradually the film got more depth. It’s about a religious population and how young people feel hindered by being a part of that group. That’s why they want to discover the ‘normal’ world. Influence of religious (and other) indoctrination is still relevant today. But in this film it is all a bit too nice and predictable.

  2. maarten keswiel's rating of the film Forbidden Fruit

Soms wat clichématig en iets te veel Postbus 51. Maar de thema's (goed vs slecht, gevoel vs geweten) zijn universeel herkenbaar en de contrasten zetten je actief aan tot nadenken: welke kant zou je zelf kiezen?

  3. Aye Sorc's rating of the film Forbidden Fruit

    Small, personal... youth itself

  4. Brian O'blivion's rating of the film Forbidden Fruit

Hollywood-type caricature of christian faith - Laestadians in particular - concieved by a cultural marxist Bardy and peabrain Karukoski.

  5. Phoebe Pua's rating of the film Forbidden Fruit

unpretentious. don't expect philosophical questionings of conservative religion, don't expect ingenious twists to the country-good/city-bad narratives, none of that happens. it is personal and on a level so small that you wonder if it were simply someone trying to film a memory lest they forget.
