  2. mpho3's rating of the film Forget Me Not

A moving tribute to a son's mother, a respectful look at Alzheimer's, a fascinating personal and counter-cultural history. "Besides drawing a vivid portrait of a remarkable and complex woman, Sieveking’s film shows how remarkably little children often know about their parents, and how a relationship that we tend to take for granted continues to offer possibilities for challenge and growth." - Siskel Film Center

  4. msmichel's rating of the film Forget Me Not

Is their a disease more heartbreaking than Alzheimer's. The very idea of losing oneself is beyond terrifying and the effect it would have on our loved ones as well. David Sieveking's documentary puts a very human face on this true drama showing the little heartbreaks and confusion before the major damage comes. Well worth seeking out.

  6. Mukwae Wabei Siyolwe's rating of the film Forget Me Not

A sobering look at what love means over a lifetime without any illusions. As a family comes to grips with memories and loss of their mother to Alzheimer's and grow through feelings of guilt, to give love back to a woman who made many sacrifices to keep the peace. Her son the filmmaker reconstructs a counter-narrative of her he never knew through old pictures. Not easy to watch but every life must come to an end.

  7. skidoc03's rating of the film Forget Me Not

A son's examination of his Mom's slow decent into darkness, and his parents complicated, but rich, past. It's not easy to watch someone who had such a vibrant past descend into the darkness that is Alzheimer's, but there are many touching moments that makes this a movie to watch.
