It stands out as a found footage movie - mainly because it tries to do for this subgenre the same thing "Scream" did for the slasher genre. However, it ends up falling into the same traps it tries to satire.
This was a uniquely self-aware and meta found footage film that criticizes and analyzes the genre as well as it revolutionizes it. Level share of laughs and scares, but a CGI ghoul I wish had never made an appearance.
