Saw this film when I was still in art school. The thing that immediately struck me was its rawness. Back then there was no WhatsApp or Facebook in New Delhi. Talking via notepads, isn’t that’s what we are doing nowadays. Digitally of course. Just like this review. Brave. Raw. Human.
My vocal coach says if you're singing from 'that place', it doesn't matter what qualities your voice has, it'll move people. Even at its worst, this film was kind of like that. Even the cringe-y & frustrating artistic choices shot straight from a consistent, raw, sort of bravely empathetic mirroring of the world/themselves. I didn't exactly enjoy all of it but that's partly the point. I think it's the real deal. 3.75
This film make a crazy questions of the being in front of itself and in front of the others, having the electronic media as a tool and as a wall at the same time: Esthetic dissertation of the cinematography as a media of expression of the individual, that anticipates of what would be the communication in our times.
Seja como for, amei! (WPC>)
