Not the greatest spaghetti Western of all time but I enjoyed the use of four colorful archetypes who all have a lot to say as opposed to the typical lone gunslinger who barely speaks a word. The soundtrack is a completely on-the-nose psychedelic folk pop explosion - you'll either dig it or hate it.
Lucio Fulci directed this superior spaghetti western, unique in its genre for the genuine sympathy it has for its well-drawn central characters. A strong script, colorful cast, and Fulci's stylish visuals make this one of the best of its kind. The on-the-nose folk music soundtrack is something of a hinderance, though.
