/Love is madness./ Really cute version of ` Frankenstein ` Enjoyed,indeed.Though,even if it's childishly naive,because in life,we must deal with losing our beloved ones,and there's more wicked animation with colorful pictures made for kids,I don't think this kind of animation is suitable for the `mainstream children culture`,more likely for teenagers.But that's the charm of Burton,he developed his style.
The first 50mins or so are fairly good, but the final act lost me. Just wasn't interested in a big action set-piece. He did a similar thing with "Alice in Wonderland"; gave it a boring action finale. But I'll tell you what, the characters are great (that cat), and it looks absolutely gorgeous. All the shadows with the black and white... beautiful! Really beautiful! Loved the art direction.
