Just had to watch this because of the remake I saw back then - Plenty of goofy hijinks it has with in this feel-good laugh-out film for the whole family that answers to the question on what it'd be like to walk in someone's shoes, and Jodie was already on her way to stardom while starring in TAXI DRIVER the same year this film was made. Its opening title sequences was also nice because of the animation & its tune.
One of the best of the disney formula pics of the sixties and seventies mainly because of the fun (but very dated) script by Rodgers adapting her young adult novel and of course by two very able leads in Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster. Gags fall a little short too often, but they always did in these films. Same year saw the release of 'Taxi Driver' and thus ended the Jodie Foster disney contract.
