Young morons botch a few robberies and end up killing a couple people. The failure of L'APPAT is that the hollow-youth theme - amoral, fueled by cool crime flicks, living for kicks, lusting for dough - has been done to death, and Tavernier doesn't bring anything new to the table. And, frankly, I don't even like the prototypes much - THEY LIVE BY NIGHT, GUN CRAZY, etc - because I detest absolutely everyone onscreen.
