  • Nick Schwab's rating of the film From Within

Akin to the Japan horror craze in its supernatural murders plotline, with a small town Americana twist. The problem is not its presentation of the scares, but the thinness of its one-sided drama. Even for me-- a guy that is largely against organized religion-- its shallow, evangelist characters and the monomaniac anti-religious message is preachy in itself. Proselytization is never good on both sides of the debate.

  • Daniel S.'s rating of the film From Within

A few awards in American and European Fantastic Films Festivals. Nothiing really new here but I liked the description of the hypocritical Christian community of this little town. And I must say that Margo Harshman, Thomas Dekker's cousin, heats up the screen as soon as she appears. A DVD zone rainy days.
