Looks and feels as if made by teenagers raised on MTV and video games, and gets more and more ridiculous as it goes on. As a political allegory for France c.2004-2007 (the Paris riots, the hijab ban, election of Sarkozy, etc.) it's about as subtle as Animal Farm. Extremist cinema has done better.
summary actually sounds decent until "their hosts are sadistic cannibals of a Nazi family leaded by the deranged patriarch and former SS officer and Nazi war criminal Le Von Geisler who plans to make Yasmine the brood mare for a new Aryan master race", and then its just lol.
It's like the movie was made by a dice roll, in which the dice have imprinted on each side different topics that "entice people", and whichever comes up on top, is what the movie will have. In this case, Dice 1: Nazis. Dice 2: Cannibals. Dice 3: Totalitarian Governments. Dice 4: Lots of Gore. Dice 5: Kickass Style. Too bad "context" or "characterization" didn't come out on top of any of them.
Complete and utter hackneyed generic tripe directed by what I can only surmise is an uneducated methed-out teenager who watched too many music videos from the 90s, masturbates to Eli Roth's body of work, and fell asleep at the keyboard when turning up the dials in After Effects. The characters are completely unsympathetic imbeciles played by screeching meatheads/harpies who's acting is ripped from the pages of WWE.
Terribly misogyny and hate masquerading as a horror film, but where's the horror? Instead of suspense or actual horror this movie is concerned with gore, bad shaky cam, and idiotic characters who don't matter at all. It's also very concerned with copying The Texas Chain Saw Massacre verbatim, but in French, so it must be different, no?
