Ratings & Reviews

  1. Hodek Van Mealstrom's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

Early Kechiche´s films always is worth it.

  2. Héctor V.'s rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

'This is...just puerile.Extremely puerile. I think the director didnt even know what he was doing here. The characters are terrible. If you really want to look immature and young people discussing and yelling like chimpancees, you just need to go to any highschool or suburb park anywhere. This should be banned permanently from Mubi. The worst part is this kind of movies are kind of likable in France. How is this possible?

  3. Nikolás Rojas's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  4. Venus Rey Jr's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  5. NaborGarrido's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  6. Dada Kubin's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

I admire Kechiche’s ability to create the illusion of natural and immediate communication between the characters. As a viewer you feel like you’re in the midst of them; it’s all very organic, yet it’s not imitating real life as much as creating it (and documenting it at the same time). The frenetic dialogue is exaggarated, but it feels like a genuine expression of the violence surrounding these young citoyens.

  7. Ariramop's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  8. I.Camera's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

An effervescent film marrying Rohmer-style romantic engagements with banlieue neo-realism. The difference between a luminous Sara Forestier and her non-acting (hunched and mumbling) co-stars is a bit too obvious at times, but the film overall has both authenticity and depth of character, particularly when a scene involving police harassment intrudes into the teenage squabbles near the film's end.

  9. alessandrofarris001's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

Blending traits of meta-narrative with an almost documentary feel, aided by the cast's natural performances, Kechiche perfectly immerses the viewer in a very specific part of society and paves the way for his later, more focused and realized movies.

  10. Juan Javier's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  11. Quattro's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

Kechiche's direction of the actors is unbelievable. This is such a little film, and yet you can't help but care for his characters and their idle chatter. Sweet and fun. (Well I guess maybe they could lower their voices sometimes, jeez girls cool down already.) P.S.: Teachers in Kechiche's films are always so great!

  12. GerardoSG's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  13. polo's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

    extraordinaria en cada aspecto

  15. Krish sanghvi's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

Such a charming and well-acted coming of age drama!!! Also uses the treatment and lives of immigrant children in France as an apt background.

  17. Victor Morosoff's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  18. hubertguillaud's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

Dialogue électrique. Acteurs incandescents.

  19. Marv1n's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  20. Gilles's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  21. LauraPalmer's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  22. Lahaye's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

Magnifique film, jamais caricaturale toujours juste et poignant. Les seconds rôles sont magistraux.

  23. NCMBianchi's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance

  24. Bruno's rating of the film Games of Love and Chance
