  4. Karthik's rating of the film Genevieve

Little bon-bon of a film with a color palette that makes it seem an animated 50s advertisement for Rinso & set in that England teeming with eccentrics, where the men, forever adolescent, lead squabbling loves with lovely women--strange hybrids of good ole sport, spoilsport & nanny, which happily leaves me not caring in the end whether this be a hideout in earnest Heaven or a Hell of triviality.

  5. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Genevieve

A central pillar of the 'pipe and slippers' cinematic output of 1950s Britain this is nevertheless a neat and efficient frivol that achieves its limited ends with affable economy. Adler’s mouth-organ score is justifiably lauded.
