  1. En Sangers Bøn's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

Having written (a long time ago) an article about George Bataille’s transgressive litterary experience around sexuality, sacrifice, sublimation and bizarre cosmogonies I was curious to see this movie. totally disappointing and unfaithful to the book. Looks more like a mindless and poorly imaginative hardcore porn with elements of punk industrial culture / neo-goth, in a nasty provocative way.

  2. Lord_Beria's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

  3. ClaraSoph's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

I was kind of irritated of seeing this Erotica with a obviously sadomasochistic tendency. I didn't know the book and further didn't know what to expect. In the end I enjoyed the gay love scene the most, though I'm neither gay, nor a man.

  4. claudio's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

a dull waste of film and other (scarce) resources. not a single good idea on how to represent Bataille's opus. crappy porn and nothing of the freshness, of the genius that is expressed in the "Story of the Eye". Hopefully, G.B. is not here to see how a masterpiece can be disgustingly soiled.

  5. maurousuga's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

  6. Chuck Vollers's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

Lousy. Something to bore every persuasion.

  7. Matt's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

Has nothing to do with the novel

  8. javo love's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

  9. Antares's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

Un film trop null... No good at all, not artistic, no porn, no nothing...

  10. Joe Bowman's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

  11. solar anus's rating of the film George Bataille's Story of the Eye

The best thing about this art porn is the opening scene: a birth scene in which a doctor uses a steel birthing forceps. The rest seems too pretentious and leaves something to be desired
