35mm. An inaugural fiction from the feminine point of view from which, hélàs, man is far from absent, i mean, man remains an influential element of/on the feminine determination and, therefore, of the fiction and the film. This one is undoubtedly of a freshness not properly innovative but still active and acting. The two friends diegetic's time is so little that in fact it should be called "Susan" or "A Girl".
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I haven't been enchanted by a female lead character like this since Louise Brooks in Pandora's Box. Not only is this a great character, but the film itself is a great portrait of being in your 20s in New York City. It's really funny and sexy, too. Who knew that Christopher Guest was such a dashing young man?
