I would give the third star if the sculpture didn't move. That turned that moment from weird (which isn't necessarily bad) to ridiculous. What saved it from getting only one star was a sense of sensual carelessness. The look on her face, and the final shot, her skin against the blackness of the night and the hardness of the stone. Ok. The name of the movie makes it ok. I guess. She who walks. And gets some cigarettes
Kept my interest for the full two minutes of run-time. Nothing particularly great about it, but I take it from the title that Carax believes The Thinker and Gradiva have a lot in common--you know, given they were both sentient as shown here.
