Ratings & Reviews

  1. Joel's rating of the film Hamoun

Always a sucker for a thoughtful exploration with flashes of surrealism (though sometimes a bit too familiar at points (who cares, I love Fellini)). Personally, I found this film pretty compelling. The fresh mix of a midlife crisis with flourishes into Iranian culture, all mixed with a unique filmmaking style. Unfortunately the print I saw was quite poor. Nevertheless a compelling additon to the Iranian cannon.

  2. Dudeness's rating of the film Hamoun

Adapted awful of Federico Fellini's Eight and a half and Iranian novel The Blind Owl

  3. Henri de Corinth's rating of the film Hamoun

Three for the dream imagery and for Bita Farahi. But that's all.

  4. Khashayar Mohammadi's rating of the film Hamoun

  5. dalena's rating of the film Hamoun

Very "8 1/2" Fellini-esque with multiple dream sequences and flashbacks. More chaotic and existential with questions of God. The protagonist is someone to love and hate.

  6. All Is Grace's rating of the film Hamoun

Totally wrong description of film from allmovie guide.
