  1. Il secondo maestro del revolver's rating of the film Hanezu

  2. Kelley Dong's rating of the film Hanezu

  3. Ostermyers's rating of the film Hanezu

Let's pretend I put 6 stars. Kawase is a trap for me. I can't do anything.

  4. Jugu Abraham's rating of the film Hanezu

Naomi Kawase's cinema resembles works of Terrence Malick, difficult to assimilate yet beautiful. Intensely enmeshed in Japanese culture, her films are philosophical, eclectic essays on life. My full review of the film is at http://moviessansfrontiers.blogspot.in/2012/02/126-japanese-director-naomi-kawases.html

  5. Nejishiki's rating of the film Hanezu

Nice to look at, yet an empty art house flick on the verge of being a easily forgotten contemplative cinema piece. Don't waste your time.

  6. apexa's rating of the film Hanezu

Kawase exceeds anything she's ever done with this film by giving her least straight-forward yet most complex film yet. I was brought to mind the films of Mani Kaul while watching this. Absolutely breathtaking.

  7. simonadp's rating of the film Hanezu

what a big disappointment. unbearable voice-over and too many allegories, too many allusions and references to presumed "high" meanings about life and love...

  8. ana kinukawa's rating of the film Hanezu

beautiful landscapes which explicit the relationship between the japanese people and nature.
