Daniel Barber United Kingdom, 2009

J. O.'s rating of the film Harry Brown

"Harry Brown" serves as a horrific portrait of the disenfranchised youth roaming aimlessly through our society. Disgusting drug addicts and lurid violence line the belly of the beast and Sir Michael Caine can handle it no more. A beautifully shot film that has much in common with the western movie anti-heroes of the 60s and 70s. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and Britain seems to be a pretty cold place.
