Ratings & Reviews

  1. Nick Schwab's rating of the film Hatchet II

Starts out with verve, then detours too long into backstory and exposition that it could have more seamlessly worked in. Yet, Green still takes a diabolical fun-times glee in its horror that gives a humorous touch to typical slasher films. It knows it's dumb, so it just has fun. Not nearly as much of a drunken party film as the first, and it's bottom heavy in its slasher scenes, but it's still semi-enjoyable.

  2. Evan Schafer's rating of the film Hatchet II

I agree with the others here that say the second installment in the Victor Crowley story was not as plain and uninteresting as the first film. The killings he's up to this time are more bloody, more gruesome and more disgusting, including skinning a person, which is quite lovely. I found some parts laughable and Danielle Harris was a good addition to the cast. Overall, I'd say this is a surprisingly good sequel.

  3. Glue Sniffer's rating of the film Hatchet II

  4. João R's rating of the film Hatchet II

Extremely bad but, somehow, I found this one to be a little less annoying than the first one. And Danielle Harris was a good switch as the main role.

  5. gloryofistanbul's rating of the film Hatchet II

a good follow up to the original, fans i'm sure will love it

  6. This is Jake Kath's rating of the film Hatchet II

Kooky and ghouly! How to can I love without you, Vic Crowely! For gore driven vehicles, this one delivers where others fail! There's just something about going back to the roots of a genre and not subverting it but respecting it that leads itself to a cinematic experience that contains more soul than you normally see. But with all that bullshit said, if you're a fan of this, you should love it!
