Coming from the people behind Reno 911 and Children's Hospital, I expected more. Naturally, it's mostly improv'd, so it has some hysterical standout moments but is very inconsistent. It's a shame it wasn't more tightened up, because it could've been great. But, it gets points for being the rare horror-parody that sticks to its story and doesn't pad itself with random pop-culture references.
What a novelty; a horror comedy that is actually pretty damn funny. Leslie Bibb and Rob Corddry are perfectly cast as the expectant parents with solid supporting work from a game cast. Some of the jokes fall flat but the laugh quotient is pretty solid. Best are the Vatican exorcists and those po' boys....mmmm.
