An hour-long documentary, presented by Mark Kermode, about Ken Russell’s 1971 film, The Devils, which is one of the most controversial films ever made.

A useful summary of the production and subsequent censorship tribulations of this fiery film. Well researched and illustrated, with an Aladdin’s Cave hoard of previously cut footage - still the only legitimate source to see this material. My only quibble - and this is more to do with modern film and TV in general - is the attention-deficit camera panning around interviewees. Keep the bloody things still!
