  • Daniel S.'s rating of the film Hell's Half Acre

A very interesting film noir oscillating between so-so pseudo-folkloric scenes, brilliant moments of dialogue and pure noir sequences. The scene between Corey and Keyes in the Honolulu "Casbah" is a little jewel of emotion and I was amazed by the way the director used a subjective point of view when Corey leaves the bar during the last scene. A movie director I will not forget! Recommended.
