Now, I understand how readers feel about film adaptations; the manga for "Helter Skelter" was far more graphic than the film! Well, I didn't expect them to capture everything. Plus, books and films are two different mediums, but it was interesting nonetheless. Erika Sawajiri is a great actress; Kiko Mizuhara is a better model though... and no complaints with the sexy Yosuke Kubozuka scenes (drool)!
Erika is perfectly for the role judging by her notorious real-life persona. I bet she fought tooth and nail for the role but landed it without a cinch. The cinematography and the film's color scheme is vivid. Its visual appeal would be the film's strongest aspect. The downside would be the plot, no gripping characterization or plot twists. One shouldn't bother with expectations.
