    Functions on a greater level of satire than the two previous movies, with the broad spectrum of social caricatures ensuring that the film works more as a critique of this particular example of post-war "Englishness" & less as a celebration. Though still sexist in the extreme, the protagonist does suffer for his womanising, while the drab holiday camp setting can be seen as a grotesque microcosm of the country itself.
