  • msmichel's rating of the film Home Town Story

Hackneyed and obvious morality story telling the tale of a recently defeated US senator who comes home and takes over editing the local paper and goes on a crusade against big business just to try to score political points. The script ain't exactly Ayn Rand. Performances are pretty standard with Alan Hale in a supporting role standing out though the presence of Marilyn Monroe in a bit part gives the film appeal.
