Ratings & Reviews

  1. Chihao Tsang's rating of the film Hook

I definitely preferred this as a kid, but it's still pretty enjoyable watch now, yes the fight scenes are playfully Kiddie friendly, but it's still pretty fun to watch. Soundtrack seems well made too, though it never rang too much when I saw it as a kid. Phil Collins even has a cameo that I never knew of

  3. FISCHER's rating of the film Hook

Certainement un des plus mauvais films réalisés par Steven Spielberg, mais quelques jolies scènes malgré les hideux décors de Norman Garwood... www.cinefiches.com

Robin Williams is adult Peter Pan, and young Zuko is in it. That's all I have to say about that.

"To live. To live would be an awfully big adventure."

  9. Mark O. Stack's rating of the film Hook

The insinuation made by Hook that this could all be a dream bothered me as a kid. Why would you just introduce that right at the end in a throwaway line?

  19. Terry_Moby's rating of the film Hook

Looks and feels like a show in an amusement park. Maggie Smith is not allowed to show any of her acting talent under that terrible make-up!

  24. HKFanatic's rating of the film Hook

Spielberg sought to revive the "Peter Pan" tale and its childlike sense of wonderment for a new generation, and, aided by one of John Williams' most rousing scores, he very nearly succeeded. I find the first act of this film to be faultless. It's only the latter half of "Hook" that gives way to the 'extreme! 90's kids' portrayal of the Lost Boys that the movie has been endlessly derided for. Underrated to this day.
