The film is set in 1943 in a mental asylum in the country. But this is an unusual hospital: there are several incurable schizophrenic cases, staff is bit strange and a writer has voluntarily entered the clinic because he is “peculiar” and a drug addict. Then the German Gestapo arrives.

It made me dizzy - the whole lot of probable interpretations makes this film unreachable at one screening. Foucaultian way of perceiving things, like power, biopolitics or punishment, comes really handy. Ethics, Nietzsche and Nazis. There is really a lot to it! -- And don't forget it's actually inspired by Witkacy!
