Besides its important historic statement, How Good To See You Alive is an emotion-filled documentary about militar dictatorship in Brazil. Ravache is the only thing keeping it from being stellar: sometimes delivering gold and sometimes being completely dispensable. This is, however, an important film that keeps the dictatorship discussion flaming. All my heart to these women.
Touching and intense. These women's testimonies serve to bring to light all the years of horror imposed by military dictatorship in 60-70's Brazil. Between one speech and another, the talented Irene Ravache plays monologues inspired in each one of those women. A necessary history record.
