jason statham is pretty great in this. well written and directed too. puzzles me why this didn't get a theatrical release. it's head and shoulders above most of his other stuff that came out in recent years.
It's difficult to fault "Hummingbird" for being scattered and occasionally clichéd when it's so passionately mounted. Action films this sensitive are a few, and performances as charismatic, nuanced and transformative as Statham's here are even fewer.
