  1. Renton47's rating of the film Hymn to a Tired Man

How many must suffer for the nationalism of others? This a curious war film where the horror doesn't happen on the battlefield or at the hands of the enemy, which perhaps makes its self-critique more resounding. In 1968 it also has the vantage to voice the discontent of new generations and condemn the Vietnam war. Its father and son dynamic reminds of more contemporary NY films, making this still relevant. Underseen.
