Set in the near future, Brandner’s village is populated by emotionless citizens. Once a year the wealthy people arrive to hunt in a nearby area, where the villagers are never allowed. One day a new citizen begins hunting illegally out of a simple desire to do something different.

    A film perfectly inscribed in Germany's Federal Republic great cinema of the 60s and 70s, the one that from Fassbinder to Kluge redefined the imagery of European cinema, fulfilling a pact of "accounts adjust" with the past, looking at their contemporaneous with the greatest cutting irony, extended to an exhilarating self-reflective structure. It's reduced, however, by a weak dispersive dramaturgical obligation.
