I wanted to like this so much more than I did. A lame duck DTV schlocker from the horror dead-zone of the early 90s that never quite gets its disparate genre elements to gel. Too grim to amuse and too silly to scare. Clint Howard does good work, but one wonders what the heck Olivia Hussey did to deserve this film.
Finally, a movie for anyone who's ever found Clint Howard creepy and can't quite explain why. Shame about the execution, though. To his credit, Clint acts circles around the rest of the cast (including a slumming David Warner as a Reverend), and there is one kind-of-effective sequence where the two actors (badly) playing cops visit Clint's character's old mental hospital.
