Ratings & Reviews

  1. FISCHER's rating of the film If I Had a Million

Même si l'ensemble des différents sketches est de qualités plutôt inégales, on ne peut qu'applaudir à cet étonnant film à tiroirs fort bienvenu et de facture classique... www.cinefiches.com

  2. Daniel S.'s rating of the film If I Had a Million

**1/2. Not bad but not great either. I loved the Stephen Roberts's segments : 'Violet' and 'Grandma'. Almost already forgotten.

  3. Blumes's rating of the film If I Had a Million

Rating only the Lubitsch segment. Laughton in a full-length by Lubitsch could have proven very interesting. Wilder may have peeked at this when constructing the office bullpen in The Apartment.

  4. Duncan Gray's rating of the film If I Had a Million

Rating for Lubitsch's 2-minute charming segment, "The Clerk", which has good fun with Charles Laughton's air of dignity.

  5. SeventiesSinema's rating of the film If I Had a Million

30s cinema is often watchable because it's fast and its actors (as James Harvey writes) don't strive for psychological truth but rather for a heightened presence through committed energy. They aren't being, they're performing. They're on stage, as we often are in life. Many of the shallow films of today would benefit from this heightened sense of performance (as displayed here by Cecil Cunningham, Boland, Ruggles etc

  6. Lefteris Becerra's rating of the film If I Had a Million
