If You Were Young: Rage Directed by Kinji Fukasaku

Critics reviews

It’s full-bore Fukusaku: hopeful when the protagonists’ future seems to be in their own hands, but in the end inexorably pessimistic once they realize that they are powerless. If one film had to sum up all of Fukusaku’s personal concerns and political philosophy, If You Were Young might be it.
