Powerful and timely emotional drama here for the life of an 'illegal' immigrant locked up in detention while trying to start a new life in Belgium. The film follows the hardship and fear that are constants for someone living without an identity. Really nicely shot and and a standout performance from the lead Anne Coesens. 4 stars
IMMIGRATION Part 2. == No Belarusian nor Russian in Molenbeek nor in Schaerbeek. Disinformation, manipulation & propaganda to promote our guilt against immigrants.
Intense. Extremely well acted and tightly wound narrative about an illegal immigrant in Belgium fighting not to be deported. Anne Coesens is a FORCE to be reckoned with: at once powerful and yet utterly vulnerable. Such a magnificent performance. This film is as sad as it is infuriating... and doesn't offer simple answers. The writer/director does not shy away from the harsh reality of this extremely difficult issue.
