  1. Samuel Andrade's rating of the film Images of the World and the Inscription of War

  2. CarlosEsquives's rating of the film Images of the World and the Inscription of War

  3. Alonso Díaz de la Vega's rating of the film Images of the World and the Inscription of War

A truly rare train of thought, this film is something other than extraordinary. Perhaps its power derives from an ordinary and thus humane rationale that depicts thought while it examines responsibility. A true essayist, Farocki does not let his mind wander aimlessly. He rather controls his ideas into a flow reminiscent of the one Heinrich Böll announces at the beginning of The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum.

Survivance is to release "Images of the World and the inscription on War" and "Respite" by Harun Farocki on DVD on June 7th. English subtitles are available on both films. "Starting with different dispositifs, Harun Farocki's two films invite us to carry out this traversal of the visible [and] form a ditych revealing the two poles of the tragic voyage to the centres of killing." 6. Jose Sarmiento Hinojosa's rating of the film Images of the World and the Inscription of War

What a haunting and strange experience it was to watch this film. One has to apreciate the narrative pulse of Farocki, and how he manages to blend history, technology and a powerful statement without being propagandistic. A true masterpiece.
