Ratings & Reviews

  1. Karl J. Kipling's rating of the film In Spring One Plants Alone

I'm not one for the documentary observing the poor in their squalor, there's something suspect about it. Here a bent, ailing old woman takes care of her fat, crippled, possibly psychotic son in their tin shack. What gives the film a bit of edge is that the subjects, who look like they're on the verge of death, are ancestors of a once-proud warrior tribe and eke out their awful existence in a stunning setting.
