The sensitive and sensual new film from Singaporean director Eric Khoo draws together several narratives spanning several decades, all of them transpiring in the same room of the same Singaporean hotel — and all of them involving sex.

A hotel room which is the theatre of countless stories (of love, of love and sex, of loveless sex) that span through nearly a century.
Some very good ideas, though the execution is uneven. Two episodes stand out (the adulterous story - Nishino and Lawrence Wong are gorgeous, and the teen love story), but the change of tone does not really work. The music score is desperately plain. It may work better as a TV series.
