  2. the_mentaculus's rating of the film Incubus

Filmo, kiu ellasas el la ĉielo kiel ĝi fariĝis de la demonoj, kiuj loĝas ĝin - ne ekzistas tempo, loko aŭ lingvo, nur simpla morala rakonto, kiu ludas kiel buĝeto Bergman. William Shatner sukcesas konduki, Esperanto esti kondamnita, enkorpigante tiun mondan senrevecon de senkulpeco, kiu malfacile troviĝas en filmojn. Terura gemo.

  3. FISCHER's rating of the film Incubus

Une oeuvre fort singulière qui intrigue et peut fasciner...

  4. En Sangers Bøn's rating of the film Incubus

Between low budget horror crap and elegant, eerie artistic stranginess, reminiscent to Bergman at his most fantastic and bucolic moments ("hour of the wolf"...). The esperanto sligthly sounds like a mixture of italian and swedish.

  5. Alex's rating of the film Incubus

  6. Ana Sousa's rating of the film Incubus

    Love listening to Esperanto ♥

  7. Gerdrût's rating of the film Incubus

Strange and beautiful at the same time.

  8. Wee Hunk's rating of the film Incubus

At first, I thought someone's dubbed this film into Spanish or Italian because Shatner's in the movie. Then I saw the lips move along with the dialogue, and so I looked it up. Well, some of the actors actually tried, but not Eloise Hardt. She's extremely flat. It's an intriguing film, and worth your time if you like weirdo horror movies.

  9. CarlosEsquives's rating of the film Incubus

  10. tibber's rating of the film Incubus

Does this get written off as a novelty because of the Esperanto? It shouldn't. The imagery and atmosphere are worthy of Bergman and Dreyer.

  11. Jinsie's rating of the film Incubus

Besides the novelty factor of an Esperanto feature (learned phonetically by the cast), this is an utterly barmy Bergman-esque horror parable. Shatner's part fits his persona like a glove, and Allyson Ames is beguiling as the succubus with a conscience. The restoration I saw on Youtube (where it's still available) had retained the intrusive black bar subtitles, but you can't complain...

  12. εξώτερο Διάστημα's rating of the film Incubus

magic. strange combination of Bunuel and Bergman.
