  3. FISCHER's rating of the film Indian Summer

Dans l'insignifiance générale de la presque totalité de la filmographie d'Alain Delon, se détache cette oeuvre étonnante, d'un romantisme noir et vénéneux qui reste inoubliable... www.cinefiches.com

  6. DorkHeimer's rating of the film Indian Summer

  7. Muraki's rating of the film Indian Summer

alain delon at his best. Contains Some unnecessary scenes but this is a great film about depression

  8. conspiracy's rating of the film Indian Summer

Even he is not pretty enough.......

  9. le Gars's rating of the film Indian Summer

Great film about melancholy and impossible love, filled with decadent atmospheres. Zurlini frames Delon's desperate disillusion with some beautiful shots, in which the void and the landscape take progressively the place of the characters.

  10. Pymo's rating of the film Indian Summer

  11. Lumière's rating of the film Indian Summer

Also known as The Professor, Indian Summer is a sensitively rendered drama about a poetry professor suffering an existential crises who arrives in a dull seaside town and strikes up a relationship with beautiful and enigmatic nineteen years old student. The prevalent Antonioni-esque alienation and ennui is tempered by welcome bouts of melodrama and Alain Delon resourceful performance. An underrated gem.

  12. Karl J. Kipling's rating of the film Indian Summer

Alain Delon, mysterious drifter, drowning in drink and existential angst, takes a teaching post in dull seaside town. One of his students happens to be a mysterious melancholy young woman of fabulous beauty, the kind that always drives men to ruin. Awfully atmospheric: the outdoors are fittingly foggy, bleak, and economically depressed, to capture that special early '70s Euro art film air of ennui and alienation.

  13. José Neves's rating of the film Indian Summer

"Desire" list: 2nd entry for Alain Delon, which only stands out for its selectivity because i could choose many more, at least until the extraordinary Godard's "Nouvelle Vague". "Le mal de vivre" knew in this film one of its most intense portraits, metaphorical and concrete, on the wandering of a being stuck in himself and his anguish. Already mature, he's of a fulminant beauty, absolutely just to his character.

  14. Zissou's rating of the film Indian Summer

  15. Pierluigi Puccini's rating of the film Indian Summer

A sensitive, passionate, and melancholic Antonioni-like drama with great performances, namely Alain Delon as a world-weary poetry professor, captivated by his student Vanina, a beautiful girl who is also marked by problems.
