Revolução Industrial

Portugal, 2014
Documentary

Synopsis

Alongside the banks of Rio Ave, the marks of an industrialized periphery have been accumulating, for more than a century, in a region stranded between the rural past and an unknown future. When descending the river, a route rarely navigated, we find the present’s past.

What are people saying?

  • José Neves's rating of the film Industrial Revolution

DCP. A beautiful idea of navigation, using the existence and motive of a river and the observances with which it takes place towards its margins, in a sagacious search of spaces, stories, people, permanences, destruction, nature and work. Some moments of a more conventional documentary involvement limit a film quite well filmed and intelligent in its visual and sound proposals. A surprise.
