  • mpho3's rating of the film Informant

Watched this on the heels of Better This World, which focuses on Darby's quasi-entrapment of two Austin teens. This film is mostly Darby recounting his trajectory from being a left leaning activist friendly with former Black Panthers to an informant to a Tea Party troll. I think he's a complex figure as well as a delusional one, fascinating but scary.

  • dave gunn's rating of the film Informant

This is a really great documentary in that it gets both sides from those directly involved. However, in the end, Brandon's story is just as puzzling. I do believe he is a spineless scumbag and most likely did lie through a lot of his retelling of his experiences. No one will ever know his intentions for sure, but they were despicable and he never was nor ever will be a revolutionary or more than a snitch.
