Heist movie with an ensemble that doesn't manage to leave any impression. The direction lacks inspiration and there is no true intensity, tension or urgency in the film. The dark "conspiracy plot" was easy to predict as I can count the years back to when Christopher Plummer was in his prime. It's potential is never achieved with this one.
Great to watch a bank robbery movie that didn't stick to the genres usual cliches. Great cast and a gripping plot that had me on the edge of my seat guessing the whole way through! I was surprised and interested how Lee manages to tie racial inequality even into a movie about robbery. Three and a half stars
Functionally entertaining but forgettable. Quite literally, I have seen this film 3 times now and each time I had completely forgotten that I seen it before. Clive Owen's magnetism is par for the course -- the man could scrub toilets with intensity -- and the requisite twists do their twisting. But to what end?
This movie not only has a very interesting plot also they kept you glued on your chair keeping you guessing about what is really going on. And with good twists throughout the movie (not only the ending). The casts delivers solid performances. Seeing the plan come together at the end is the film's biggest highlight. This is a very well made heist flick, probably one the best out there.
