You ever watch the Oscars and feel like they missed the boat? I found my best actress for 1989. Sorry Jodie Foster. The movie was completed in 1982, but not surprisingly was suppressed by the Communists. Krystyna Janda does an amazing performance. In the beginning you don't really sympathize with her, because she's a spoiled actress. I would warn you that it's intense. Not a movie to play at a party.
CINEMA, Let´s CEE film festival _ Krystyna Janda won a deserved Cannes best actress in 1982 for her performance. She is the body and soul of the film. In the codified world of carceral movies, "Interrogation" has is own strength, in this stalinian Poland of the 1950s, and set in a woman´s jail. Hard to watch at times, always on the edge, it might look over the top but is sadly closer to reality as we think.
