A beautiful young concert pianist is torn between her attraction to her arrogant but brilliant maestro and her love for a farm boy she left back home.
It was pleasure watching it with crowd. Borzage never seemed to be serious about the story but wisely intuitive into the heart of the romance in the secular society where people deceive each other.
It's really quite interesting during the first half, until the sentimentality unintentionally turns to mysticism and the story loses traction and family ethics become very questionable... the music makes it pull through in the end for me, though.
