Set hours after the first film, the skeptical Sgt. Tubbs joins a task force that strives to destroy the Creeper forever. But it will fight back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before learning the secret of its dark origins.

What made the first Jeepers Creepers memorable was the image of the truck stalking the backroads of rural America, the sustained sense of threat & the perverse appetite of the creeper as surrogate for Salva himself. While the second film maintained two of these elements, this third instalment seems a wasted opportunity weighed down by unnecessary supporting characters & sub-plots that detract from the main narrative.
Through all its shortcomings, I did find some enjoyment in Jeepers Creepers 3. It clearly wants to give fans something they can appreciate, it just doesn't always know the best route. Perhaps the stumble comes before the regrouping and the alleged sequels Salva and company have planned will surprise us even half as much as the original did. If that's the case, Jeepers Creepers 3 might be a small price to pay.
At least Creeper actor Jonathan Breck is still having a ball behind the monster makeup; this production certainly doesn't know how to have any. An "in-between" entry that leaves more questions than it has any intent of answering, this thirteen-year wait sputters out well before the first act ends and staggers the rest of the way. Another example of why the "Jeepers Creepers" series should have stayed at the one film.
