Akin to a grounded Final Destination, and without the drossy, overdone pulpiness. It still fails due to Simon Rumley's direction that has him streamlining and diluting his often grand style. Rumley does capture human emotion at times quite well, but some scenes sadly use quick-cutting and flashy gimmicks to be dramatic or creepy. The narrative isn't well paced as well, feeling languid in the balance of its elements.
