i wish, oh how i wish, i had Hannes Böhringer's ability, as in his "poetics of simplicity", to glide on the surface of things and not be frivolous, to be profound and not dig holes in the skin of phenomenons, to be a perfectly descriptive physiognomist of facts and yet not lose the magic of invention. it's only thus that i could approach the subject of contemporary dance. but i am not, i'll never be, i can't.
